If you’ve lost a tooth, then it’s likely that a dental implants procedure is something you’ll want to look into further. If it’s obvious to others, it can leave you feeling self-conscious and unwilling to share your smile with the world. In that case, you may want to consider implants so you can regain confidence.

Even if your friends and family can’t see your missing tooth, it may cause issues with eating certain foods, especially if you’re missing a molar. Maybe the tooth isn’t missing, but it’s damaged. Or a filing that you’ve had done previously has deteriorated. Whatever the case, you’ll want to take action by returning your teeth to their former glory. We can help you to achieve this through a dental implants procedure. At Aurora Dental & Implant Clinics we offer two different types, read on to learn more about them.

What Is A Dental Implant?

A dental implant is the finest tooth replacement there is available. Fixed firmly in place into your jaw itself, it’s a sturdy solution that will last you for years to come. Whereas a bridge procedure will bond a replacement tooth to existing healthy teeth, a dental implant is a stand-alone solution.

To start with, we’ll take you through a consultation to find if a dental implants procedure is right for you. During this initial free consultation, you’ll be in the safe hands of Implantologist, Dr. Carl Lazzari. He is a true professional when it comes to the dental implants procedure and he is known for making even the most nervous patients feel happy, safe and comfortable. Once approved, your implant will be fitted under a local anaesthetic. After a period of between three to six months, your bone will become naturally fused to the implant. Then the finishing touches will be made in the form of a crown. Your dental implants procedure will then be complete!

What Are Implant Retained Dentures?

If you have many teeth that are missing and you currently use conventional dentures, you may well find that they can move in place in your mouth. This can cause discomfort and mean they don’t work as well as they could, which undoubtedly has an impact on your quality of life. But is there anything more effective?

Our implant retained dentures offer an answer to this common problem by giving you confidence while using dentures. The fitting is similar to dental implants, though the procedure involves a series of implants being fitted into your jaw. Then a set of bespoke dentures made just for you are clipped onto the implants in your jaw, offering the same secureness as a standard dental implants procedure. Your implant retained dentures can also be removed if you’d like, they will just be much sturdier than adhesive-based alternatives.
