It’s official, Spring is finally here! The weather is getting warmer, the trees are blossoming and the clocks will go forward this weekend, making the days even longer and summer ever closer. Things well and truly appear to be looking up and our team are feeling more positive than ever that there is light at the end of a very long tunnel.
This week we reflected on a whole year since the beginning of the first UK Lockdown. It has been a strange and challenging year but we are proud to have been open and offering essential dental services to the community for the majority of the year. We feel privileged that we may be some of the only people who have seen your un-masked face this year and we are extremely grateful to have been able to treat so many patients and bring a smile to your face during such a difficult time.
Thank you once again for your support and perseverance this year and we look forward to welcoming you to your local Aurora Dental & Implant Clinic very soon.
From 29th March we will be able to meet with up to 6 people outdoors and we don’t know about you but we can’t wait to see some family and friends, even if from a distance and outdoors.
So, are you ready to reveal your smile once you can remove your mask? We have been visited by many patients during the past year who have realised they are unhappy with their smiles after hours spent looking at their teeth on endless Zoom calls and webinars!
If there is something about your smile that you would like to change, we would love to help. Whether you are concerned with the colour, shape or alignment of your teeth we have a comprehensive range of cosmetic and rehabilitative treatments available.

We are delighted to be hosting a series of Invisalign Open Days at both our Chippenham and Swindon clinics this April. At the Open Day you will receive a FREE consultation with our Invisalign dentist and a free 3D scan of your smile so that we can show you an on-screen simulation of how your smile could look following treatment.
Invisalign is one of our most popular teeth straightening treatments; using clear, removable aligners to gradually straighten teeth in as little as a few months. The key attraction of Invisalign is its subtlety. Invisalign aligners are also very lightweight in comparison to other teeth straightening treatments, making them more comfortable to wear. Aligners are changed every two weeks, with the entire teeth straightening process taking between 9 and 18 months.
If you are thinking about teeth straightening – even if it’s a small adjustment you would like to make to your smile – feel free to click the button below to book your FREE Invisalign Open Day appointment with one of our Invisalign dentists.
At Aurora Dental, we work to continuously develop our skills whilst investing in the newest and most innovative dental treatments and technologies, such as the CBCT scanner which we now have in place at our Chippenham clinic. With this type of advanced equipment available, our patients are able to receive the highest quality and most up to date dental care, all in one clinic!
Such a lovely and unexpected gift from a loyal Aurora Dental patient received this week!
The patient in question owns a local farm and thought our staff would appreciate some of her fresh eggs. How lovely…and just in time for Easter. We’ll all be enjoying eggcelent breakfasts for the next few weeks!
We are proud to treat hundreds of patients every month across our three clinics. Take a look at some of this month’s highlight smiles below.
This patient disliked the dark colour of her upper left canine after previously having it root treated. After consultation and treatment planning, Dr Thompson placed an emax porcelain veneer to improve the overall look and eliminate the dark shadow.
A Veneer provides a natural tooth appearance, a simple procedure over two visits!
This patient didn’t like having a gap in her smile. She previously had a removable denture but wanted a more permanent option that she didn’t have to take in and out. Dr Mary Jane Thompson discussed the options available and the patient decided on a resin bonded bridge. This was completed with no preparation to the adjacent tooth. The patient was delighted not to have a denture anymore!
