Katie went into Dentistry in 2006 as a trainee Dental Nurse and soon realised she wanted to pursue a career in preventive dentistry. She went on to take the NEBDN qualification and she qualified as Dental Nurse in 2009 . During her time studying as a dental nurse she applied to enrol on the Dental Hygiene course and went straight off to University shortly after qualifying.
In 2011 she qualified as a Dental Hygienist with Merit at Cardiff University Dental Hospital where she was also the winner of The Cardiff University DCP TEC Dental Hygiene Prize 2011 and The Johnson and Johnson Clinical Dental Hygiene Prize 2011. She enjoys building a rapport with patients and giving them the skill set enabling them to maintain a healthy smile.
Originally from London Katie now enjoys the quieter pace of life in the countryside.
She enjoys spending time outside with her husband and 2 young boys down on the farm with their pony.
