BOOK ONLINE TODAYMissing teeth can impact both oral health and self-esteem. Being able to smile with confidence is one of the most wonderful things in the world and at Aurora Dental and Implant Clinics, we believe everyone should feel confident in their smile. That’s why we offer bespoke cosmetic dentures to support your facial muscles and restore your smile once more.
Cosmetic dentures are a type of dental prosthesis, which are designed to enhance both the appearance and function of your teeth. There are different types of cosmetic dentures. Full dentures replace entire rows of teeth, whereas partial dentures may be used where there is just a small gap caused by one or two missing teeth.
There are also implant-supported dentures, which are fitted to implants that are placed within the jawbone. Unlike full or partial dentures, implant-supported dentures are not removable but they do provide a robust and durable solution to missing teeth.
Dentures are widely perceived to be aimed at older individuals but that is a common misconception. Anyone who is missing a tooth or teeth can benefit from cosmetic dentures. Following a consultation with your dentist, they will be able to assess your suitability for dentures. They will also be able to determine the type of dentures that might be the best fit for you.
After your consultation, your dentist will take measurements and a mould of your mouth to make sure your dentures are a perfect fit. This information will then be sent to a qualified dental technician for your dentures to be created. Once they have been made, you will be able to attend your final appointment with your dentist. They will then ensure your dentures fit properly and that you’re happy with them.
The process for getting implant-supported dentures is slightly more complex. It involves a short surgical procedure in which the implants are fitted into the jawbone. The tooth-like structure is then fitted on to the implant after it has fully healed.
